Summer got an early start at Pechanga Resort & Casino, which has kicked off its "$1,000,000 Summer of Fun" promotion.
The first leg: the "Lucky Dragon Boat Race" game, when more than $200,000 in cash and prize, including boats, will be given away. Now through July 1, swipe your Player's Card for a chance to win $1,000 instantly. Everyone who plays gets a chance to win the weekly Thursday drawing, as well as the grand prize drawing.
On Thursdays in June at 6 p.m., 10 people will win a $500 gas card. At 8 p.m., three entries will be drawn. Those folks get to play a game. The winner gets a Sea-Doo personal watercraft, the other two get $500 gas cards. At 9 p.m., three more folks get a chance to win the Sea-Doo or gas cards.
A final drawing on July 1 will send someone home with a Yamaha 212SS Ski Boat.
There are other promotions tied to Lucky Dragon Boat Race. Table game players will earn drawing tickets for a bonus drawing on June 27, where the top prize is $5,000 cash and $5,000 in EasyPlay chips.
