Your journey starts the moment you walk in as you will receive warm and friendly service in an elegant atmosphere. Do not let the rich interior and luxury feel of Harry's inhibit you one bit, though. General Manager Jack Hoppus assures us that everyone is welcome. Whether you are out for a special evening or grabbing a quick bite in your shorts and flip flops, the staff at Harry's will make you feel at home.
I recommend that you begin your adventure with the Pom'tini: Pomegranate Martini with "secret" ingredient of Chambord. Skyy citrus vodka, Pama liqueur, Torres orange liqueur make for an amazing after hours cocktail! Harry's bar is the perfect place to meet new folks and the cozy lounge offer a more intimate setting for a private conversation with friends.
Off to the dining room to enjoy some of Harry's signature starters. We began our meal with Harry's Lettuce Wraps. What a beautiful presentation of two signature sauces for dipping your marinated grilled chicken, with sides of cilantro and cucumbers to add to a butter lettuce leaf. The bright, fresh flavors were the perfect introduction to all of the treasures that Harry's has to offer. The chef takes pride in cooking with only the freshest ingredients, so the menu is updated three times each year to respond to the changing seasons.
Next up is the California Beet and Basil Stack. Oven roasted beets are stacked in towering layers with tart goat cheese and fresh basil and finished with a balsamic reduction. This is no ho-hum salad: the flavors inspire!
Although Harry's offers signature dishes from around the globe, the custom grill is a truly special experience. Diners select meat, chicken or fish paired with their choice of house made rub or sauce as desired. We chose to trust the chef and ordered the Paniolo Skirt Steak. Marinated for 24 hours and grilled to perfection, this steak features island flavors and is served with a side of seasoned fries and curried cauliflower - wonderful!
For those wine lovers in the crowd (you know who you are), Harry's offers a diverse wine menu with varietals from across the globe. Wine Tasting Tuesdays feature bottle wines at 1/2 price and you can cork what's left (leftover wine . . . never heard of it!) to take home. In addition, Harry's never charges a corkage fee if you wish to bring your favorite bottle to enjoy with dinner.
Harry's takes the tasting adventure to a whole new level with their Chef's Dinners. Once a month, the Chef designs a 3 - 5 course menu and pairs it with unlimited wine for just $40 per person. Past dinners have featured Coffee Soy Marinated Filet Mignon and Copper River Salmon. The next dinner is on November 1st, so join Harry's email list to receive an invite.
On that note, we are excited to try the Sunday Brunch! Harry's offers all you can eat ribs, steak, chicken, omelets, fruit and dessert complimented by unlimited (!) Bloody Mary's or fresh squeezed Mimosas. That sounds like the perfect way to spend a Sunday.
