The King is gone, but his spirit lives on at Pala Casino in March. Pala will host the Rockin' Elvis Fest and Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest Friday-Sunday, March 16-18.
The three-day celebration of all things Presley will include a competition for Elvis tribute artists, Elvis karaoke, a performance by Vegas artist Travis Allen and the Official Elvis Tribute Band of Graceland. Vendors will sell all manner of wares related to the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The festival and contest are held in partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. of Memphis.
The competition is open to Elvis tribute artists from around the world. To enter, contestants must register at the official Elvis website. The winner will receive $2,000 in cash and an automatic entry into the International Ultimate Elvis Tribute Finals to be held Aug. 17-18 in Memphis.
Guests can watch the competition and meet the contestants. They can also channel their inner Elvis and perform karaoke versions of the King's hits.
Tickets, priced from $10 to $30, are on sale at the Pala box office or from Star Tickets. A King's VIP ticket package for all three days is $70 and includes VIP seating for each event.
