This week all the top executives in the casino and gaming industry will converge in Las Vegas for the Global Gaming Expo.
This is a chance for casino and gaming companies to pitch their new wares, while casino execs get together to discuss the state of the industry.
Since we recently discussed some of the new slot machines on casino floors, it seemed right to give an update of what has come out of the convention.
"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory:" Based on the classic film starring Gene Wilder as the imaginative candy magnate, this machine features Oompa Loompa wild symbols, a Wonkavator that triggers bonus rounds and of course a golden ticket jackpot.
Manufacturer WMS Gaming is hoping to have the game on casino floors by next summer.
KISS: The rock and roll legends have joined the likes of Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Dolly Parton with their own slot machine. It features audio clips of KISS classics and is slightly more adult and risque than other machines. Of course what else would you expect from KISS?
Nascar: Bally Technologies' NASCAR Virtual Racing lets players choose from eight all-star drivers and have a chance at splitting a $20,000 prize pool with other winners on the casino floor. This game is different in that allows all players on the floor to be involved no matter what machine they are playing.
"Pawn Stars:" Based on the popular reality show, the game lets players pick up items to pawn as the play. They can then sell them to the show's stars and receive bonuses.
