It's impossible to get through any wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation or prom without hearing Kool and the Gang's "Celebration."
It is one of the most iconic songs of all time and will no doubt be a show stopper when the band plays Spotlight 29 Casino Saturday, Jan. 12.
With a hit catalog that includes the classics "Ladies Night," "Jungle Boogie" and "Hollywood Swinging" no party is ever complete without a Kool and the Gang jam.
As a matter of fact, the first concert I ever went to was Kool and the Gang at the Greek Theater in Hollywood. I was five years old and I'm told I slept through the entire show until the band started playing "Celebration," at which point I jumped up and danced during the whole song before immediately going back to sleep.
