LAS VEGAS: Food University at Caesar's now enrolling

If you're looking for the perfect gift for the foodie in your life and you have a spare $2,000 to spend, then Caesar's Palace has what you need.

Just in time for the holidays the famed Las Vegas hotel is presenting its Food University.

Food University lets "students" learn all the basics and more of the culinary world from award winning pros.

"Faculty" includes James Beard Award-winning Chef Alex Stratta; acclaimed cheese expert Laura Werlin, chef and TV personality Claudine Pepin; and Anne Dolce, cook editor, The Daily Meal.

Besides learning cooking essentials from pros, "students" will also get a behind the scenes tour of Gordon Ramsay's Pub & Grill and a VIP invitation to a private Napa Valley winery tour.

The three day class takes place Tuesday, Dec. 11 through Thursday, Dec. 13 and can accommodate 80 participants. Tuition for the event is $1,995 and proceeds go to Keep Memory Alive, which is working to find cures for brain disorders like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and ALS.
