Earlier this year Caesar's Entertainment announced the renaming and rebranding of longtime Las Vegas Strip staple Imperial Palace.
The "IP" as it is affectionately known will now be The Quad Resort and Casino. The above artist's rendering is what the final results will be.
Renovations are underway in phases to update the hotel's Asian palace theme to a more modern design. The main porte cochere has already been updated, with front desk, bell desk, hotel lobby, casino floor, retail and dining levels all set to receive renovations.
Many of the hotel's signature entertainment and dining including "Divas Las Vegas," Ember's Steakhouse and Hash House A Go Go will remain in place as part of the new resort.
The Quad will also become one of three anchors to the new Linq entertainment complex. The center will be located across from Caesar's Palace situated between The Quad and the Flamingo.
Tenants already annouced for The Linq include Brooklyn Bowl, Sprinkles Cupcakes, The Yard House and Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery.
The highlight of The Linq is the High Roller, a 550 feet tall observation wheel that will be the tallest in the world. It will be parallel to Las Vegas Boulevard and feature 28 glass cabins that can hold up to 40 people, with a complete trip taking 30 minutes.
The Linq is scheduled for completion in late 2013. For more information go to www.caesars.com/thelinq.
