Popular '80s rock band Huey Lewis and the News will no doubt bring the "Power of Love" to Morongo Casino Resort and Spa Friday, May 17.

The group found success with its first mainstream hit "Do You Believe in Love" and quickly followed that up with the '80s classics "Workin' for a Livin'," "I Want a New Drug" and "The Heart of Rock & Roll."

Their music always walked a fine line between rock and pop, however, when "The Power of Love" appeared in the film "Back to the Future" it catapulted them into a new level of popularity and earned Lewis an Academy Award nomination.

Though the band's popularity waned in the '90s, Lewis found success has an actor, appearing in the filsm "Short Cuts" "Duets," and the TV series "One Tree Hill" and "Hot in Cleveland."

Tickets for the 9 p.m. show are $59, $69 and available through Ticketmaster.
