Jazz trumpeter extraordinaire Chris Botti will bring his smooth sound to Pechanga Resort and Casino Saturday, May 11.
Botti got his start as a young trumpeter touring with Frank Sinatra. From there his career took off when he began touring and recording with Paul Simon. In addition to releasing his own material, he began working with a variety of superstars including Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole and Joni Mitchell.
He found mainstream success when he joined Sting as a featured soloist on his "Brand New Day" tour.
Botti's latest album "Impressions" hit No. 1 on the Billboard jazz charts and was nominated for a Grammy for best pop instrumental album.
It features collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Mark Knopfler, Vince Gill and Andrea Bocelli.

Botti is also scheduled to play the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert Saturday, April 6.
