What better way to celebrate America's independence than with two of the biggest stars of disco. KC and the Sunshine Band and the Village People will keep the audience moving Saturday, July 6 at Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino.
Though their campy costumes and over the top personas brought fans in, it was the Village People's catchy hooks and unabashed fun is what kept fans coming back for over 30 years.
While there have been a few different members over the years, the lineup featuring a cop, Native American, sailor, construction worker, biker and cowboy hasn't changed. As a matter of fact they're one of the most recognizable groups in music.
On any given night at clubs around the world "Macho Man," "In the Navy" and "YMCA" are still being played.
KC and the Sunshine Band are also one of disco's most enduring acts with songs like "Get Down Tonight," "That's the Way (I Like It)," "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" and "Boogie Shoes" featured in a litany of commercials, TV shows and movies, while also staying in heavy radio rotation.
Tickets are available at the Fantasy Springs box office, by phone at 1-800-827-2946 and www.fantasyspringsresort.com for $39, $49 and $69.
