PALA: Lewis Black returns Oct. 26

Comedian Lewis Black returns to the Inland area with a show at Pala Casino Resort and Spa Saturday, Oct. 26.

Black is famous for his no holds bared rants on everything from politicians to artisanal foods. His "Back in Black" segments on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" are among the show's most popular.

Black has appeared in the films "Accepted," "Man of the Year" and "Unaccompanied Minors" and is the voice of Mr. E on "Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated."

He is also a best selling author and has had several HBO comedy specials including the critically acclaimed "Lewis Black: Black on Broadway."

Seriously, if Lewis Black can't make you laugh you might be dead inside.

PECHANGA: Jim Gaffigan adds second show July 5

Comedian Jim Gaffigan has added a second show to his upcoming appearance at Pechanga Resort and Casino.

Gaffigan already announced a Friday, July 5, 8 p.m. performance, and now he has added a 10:30 p.m. show.

Gaffigan is the best selling author of "Dad is Fat," was a regular on the TV series "My Boys" and has appeared in the films "It's Kind of a Funny Story," "Going the Distance" and "Away We Go."

His most recent stand up special "Mr. Universe" features his hilarious take on family trips to Disneyworld, McDonalds and gyms. It is non-stop, laugh out loud funny from start to finish.

Tickets are on sale today at 3 p.m. at the Pechanga box office and www.pechanga.com for $40, $45 and $55.

SOBOBA: Gladiator Challenge is back June 30

Mixed martial arts returns to Soboba Casino Sunday, June 30 when the fighters from Gladiator Challenge battle it out.

The card includes Leonard Smith vs. Ryan Walls and Darrell Montague vs. Sean Barnett.

Doors open at 3 p.m., with the first bout at 4 p.m.

The hard hitting WCK Muay Thai kickboxing returns to Pechanga Resort and Casino Saturday, Aug. 24.

Mixed martial arts is extremely popular in the Inland area and the shows always end up selling out.

Fights will be held in the Grand Ballroom. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the first bout at 7 p.m.

LAS VEGAS: Bon Jovi is 'wanted' at MGM Oct. 12

Rock legends Bon Jovi are heading to the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, Oct. 12 and tickets are on sale soon.

Bon Jovi burst on the scene in 1983 with "Runaway" and quickly became superstars. Their "Slippery When Wet" featured the hits "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Livin' on a Prayer" and has sold 28 million copies.

With anthems like "I'll Be There For You," "Always," "It's My Life" and "Who Says You Can't Go Home" Bon Jovi are pretty much the soundtrack to life for the past 30 years.

Bon Jovi are also scheduled to appear locally at the Honda Center Wednesday, Oct. 9 and at the Staples Center Friday, Oct. 11.

Tickets for the Las Vegas show range from $59.50 to $275.

LAS VEGAS: UFC Expo takes over Mandalay Bay July 5-6

Fans of Ultimate Fighting Championship will invade the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 for the UFC Fan Expo.

The expo is a chance for fans to get up close and personal with their favorite fighters.

There will be autograph sessions, training and development with top fighters, a submission contest, wrestling challenge and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu seminars.

Among the fighters scheduled to appear are Cain Velasquez (pictured), Chuck Liddell, Jon Jones, Urijah Faber and Georges St-Pierre.

Tickets are $40 for Friday, $45 for Saturday and $60 for two day passes. All attendees aged 6 or older must have tickets. Children 6 and under are free.

Hours: Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

AGUA CALIENTE: Pool parties return for summer

Agua Caliente Casino Spa and Resort will once again heat up summer with its Friday night Caliente Pool Parties.

The events run from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and feature the weekly bikini contests, where guests can compete for a chance to win $2,500.

Each week the top three contestants receive $100 cash and entry into the end of summer finals where first place gets $2,500, second place receives $1,500 and third place gets $1,000.

Cover charge is $10 after 10 p.m., however, there is no cover before 10 p.m. Guests and bikini contestants must be 21 and over.

Caliente Pool Parties are every Friday through Aug. 30.

'90s hip hop icons Bell Biv Devoe will appear at Spotlight 29 Casino Saturday, Aug. 17 as part of the Ladies Night Out show.

Bell Biv Devoe are spinoff of the group New Edition and features Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie Devoe.

Catapulted off their New Edition success, they had hits with "Poison," "BBD (I Thought it Was Me)" and "When Will I See You Smile Again."

Also on the bill are KC & Jojo of Jodeci. Their hit "All My Life" has become a staple of TV singing competitions.

The show also includes Brenton Wood ("Gimmie A Little Sign"), Timmy T. ("One More Try"), and Candyman.

LAS VEGAS: LA Kings at MGM Grand Sept. 27, 28

The 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings will make their annual pre-season visit to Las Vegas for Frozen Fury XV Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28.

The Kings will play the New York Rangers Friday, Sept. 27 and the Colorado Avalanche Saturday, Sept. 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Two game combo packages are on sale to the general public Friday, May 31 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $64, $90 and $164.

HARRAH'S RINCON: New pool opens July 13

Just in time for summer, Harrah's Rincon is completing the first phase of its renovations when the new pool area opens Saturday, July 13.

The new pool includes a stage area, lazy river and a swim up bar with 'ritas Cantina, which has 20 different margaritas, mojitos, over 15 types of tequilas and 30 domestic and imported beers.

Harrah's 21 and over dayclub Dive will have Adult Swim Saturdays which will feature DJs and musicians on the main stage every weekend.

The renovation is part of the resort's $150 million project that includes a new convention and entertainment center, Mexican restaurant and 403 room tower. The new areas will open in phases with total completion scheduled for spring 2014.

SAN MANUEL: Michel'Le performs at The Pines June 6

As part of its Showcase Series, '90s R&B songstress Michel'Le is performing at The Pines at San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino Thursday, June 6 at 10 p.m.

Miche'Le was known for the contrast between her speaking voice and singing voice. When she spoke it was with the voice of a small child, however when she sings a powerful, soulful sound comes out.

She rose to fame with the songs "No More Lies," "Nicety" and "Something in My Heart."

Cover charge is $10 or $5 with a Club Serrano card. Doors open at 10 p.m.
