CAPTURING THE ENERGY OF THE SUNSTONE

Sunstone, The Spa at Agua Caliente, is a place to unwind, relax and rejuvenate.

"We're a full service spa," said Monica Rost, spa manager. "We have 11 treatment rooms and a beautiful private pool area."

One of the most popular services is "Agua Caliente for two," which includes a soak in a jetted tub, then massages.

"The hot stone massage is also very popular," Rost said. "I just think it's so soothing and relaxing."

Sunstone also offers its signature energy therapies that include the Sunstone Signature Massage, the Garnet Calming Massage, the Rose Quartz Energy Massage and the Polished Gem Package. Sunstone Infusion Packages combine treatment such as the detox wrap, massage and facial or the organic sage salt scrub, mineralized bath treatment and sage body butter massage.

The spa also offers full hair salon services and nail treatments.

A DELICIOUS SPA TREATMENT
During my visit I took advantage Sunstone's autumn Pumpkin Wrap special. This was my first wrap experience and it was simply delicious.

The facility is very pretty, combining earth and water color schemes for a soothing environment. I toured the women's changing area, which included lockers, a bathroom stocked with health and beauty items, a steam room, sauna and whirlpools.

The pumpkin wrap smelled good enough to eat. The treatment is designed to exfoliate, enrich and hydrate with natural antioxidants and enzymes. The therapy began with a dry brush exfoliation from head to toe. Next the pumpkin mask was applied and while it set, I was given a neck, scalp and foot massage.

After the mask set I used a private shower to rinse, and then the treatment was completed with a full-body oil massage. My skin was soft and smelled wonderful for the rest of the day.
