SAGE: A TRANQUIL OASIS

Sage is a private oasis located in the casino at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. Visitors enter through the spa's boutique area, which is stocked with essential oils, skin care products and clothing.

Beyond the doors of the boutique the facility features treatment rooms, a garden courtyard with private outdoor cabanas, relaxation rooms, a fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, a full-service hair salon and a spa boutique.

The spa offers an extensive nail menu that includes spa manicures and pedicures, gel and acrylic sets, glycolic hand therapy and paraffin therapies. The spa's full salon has cut and style services, color and texture services, as well as waxing and tinting.

Treatments include massages, facials, wraps, scrubs and more.

"Probably the most popular treatment is the hot stone massage," said Theresa Acevedo, Sage Spa and Oasis Pool manager. "The hot stones just melt away all the tension. It's wonderful."

Recently added to the menu was the microdermabrasion, which has been hugely popular, according to Acevedo.

REVITALIZING AFTER A SUMMER OF SUN
For my visit to Sage, I chose the Orange Blossom Luminous "C" Facial, which is designed to reduce fine lines and restore a radiant complexion. After a summer full of pool days and other outdoor activities, I was seeing an uneven complexion and worried about sun damage.

The treatment included a complete traditional facial, then an ampoule was applied, followed by a peel off vitamin C mask.

The treatment room was a soothing space that included a comfortable bed, soft lighting and lilting music designed to sooth. The 50-minute facial included a shoulder, arms and scalp massage that felt incredible.

After completing the facial, I enjoyed some refreshments in the private lounge and then left in my newly revitalized skin.
