SAN MANUEL: Keith Sweat is back June 27

|

keithsweat_sm.JPG

R&B crooner Keith Sweat returns to the Inland area with a show at San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino Thursday, June 27.

Sweat gained popularity in the '80s and '90s with a series of provocative love songs including "Make it Last Forever," "Nobody" and "I'll Give All My Love to You."

He was also a member of the R&B supergroup LSG with Gerald Levert and Johhny Gill.

I've seen Sweat in concert a few times and he never disappoints. He sings all the hits and constantly keeps the crowd involved.

During one show, his female singer was sick, so when it was time to sing his hit duet "Make it Last Forever," the audience sang the female part never missing a single note.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. are available through Ticketmaster for $40.

SAN MANUEL: Freestyle Dance Party with club hits May 23

|

taylor dayne_SM.JPG

Fans of old school roller skating rink and club music can break out the hairspray and lycra Thursday, May 23 when the Freestyle Dance Party hits San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino.

With performances from Taylor Dayne, Stevie B., Expose, Freedom Williams from C&C Music Factory and Lisa Lisa, there will be no sitting down at this show.

Dayne's hits include "Love Will Lead Us Back," "I'll Always Love You" and "Tell It to My Heart." She became known for her massive vocals, which are often imitated but never duplicated on "American Idol" and "The X Factor."

Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam had a string of No. 1 hits including "I Wonder If I Take You Home," "Head to Toe," and "Lost in Emotion." Her female empowering lyrics helped make the songs stand the test and many are still in heavy radio rotation.

Stevie B. and Expose will be fresh off the Spring Love tour so they will still be in full old school jam mode, and who doesn't remember C&C Music Factory's all time '90s club anthem "Gonna Make You Sweat."

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are available through Ticketmaster for $35, $45 and $55.
