The 10th annual Green Faire will take place at the Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center May 14 and 15. Green Faire is the annual fund raising event for several Inland non-profit plant societies. Groups participating this year will include the California Rare Fruit Growers, the Iris Society, Riverside County Master Gardeners, Inland Empire Master Gardeners, Gates Cactus & Succulent Society, Granite Hill Gardens Nursery and others.
Visitors can purchase plants and get tips on care. In addition to several thousand rare plants, the event will feature the 35th annual Cactus and Succulent Show and Sale sponsored by the Gates Cactus and Succulent Society. More than 500 specimen plants will be on display in a judged show.
There will also be a kids table where youngsters can build their own succulent garden for $1. Visitors can also tour the 40-plus year old cactus and succulent gardens at the Cultural Center.
The sales area will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15. The show will be open Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
