I was fortunate enough to sit down with bassist Alex Levine and singer Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem earlier today and the guys were pretty psyched to play Coachella. They're from Jersey and remind me of two of the greatest artists to come from the state--Bruce and the Bouncing Souls.
They were hoping to catch the Cure and Brian also wanted to see Peter, Bjorn and John.
The band's new album, "The Sound of '59," is excellent. Do yourself a favor and pick it up. I thought the band had a pretty interesting writing process, too.
Fallon has scraps of paper with lyrics written on them that he pulls from.
"Sometimes I literally paste them together," he said.
