Police will conduct a drunken driving checkpoint Saturday in Coachella.
The checkpoint is set to begin at 7 p.m. and continue through 2 a.m. Sunday at an undisclosed location, said police Sgt. Mike Tapp.
Funding for the operation is being provided by the state Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Tapp said.
