A rumble and a burst of light brought Keith Urban to the stage to wrap up the first night of Stagecoach with another in a string of feel-good sets. He opened with "Kiss a Girl," a song with lyrics about "magic in the moonlight" that seemed to match his mood.
"What an absolutely perfect night to have a concert!" He said in an accent that revealed his Aussie roots. "It's beautiful."
He followed with "Who Wouldn't Want to be Me?" and a shout: "Now we're cooking!"
The mood wasn't entirely feel-good, however, when he delivered a hard-driving rendition of "Stupid Boy."
