Kenny G will perform in Temecula this summer at Thornton Winery

Thornton Winery, which has been bringing jazz to the Temecula Valley for more than two decades, has announced an addition to its summer lineup.

Grammy-winning saxophonist Kenny G will join the Earl Klugh concert on Sunday, July 22 at 5:00 p.m.

Tickets are $125 for general admission and $190 for the package that also includes dinner.

The Chris Thayer Band is playing The Press in Claremont this weekend.

Redlands-based Thayer, frontman for Inland jump blues combo Big Papa and the TCB, takes a different tack on his solo material, which is driven more by jam bands and rock.

Thayer and his band have been working on a new album, too.

New Boyz, the duo who hit big with the 2009 viral hit "You're a Jerk" straight out of Hesperia, will bring their jerkin' ways to Marquee 15 in Corona on Friday, June 15.

The pair, known Ben J. and Legacy, released their most recent album, "Too Cool to Care," in May 2011. The duo has also worked with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dev and the Cataracs and Ray J.

The Marquee 15 show is an all-ages concert and almost a homecoming for the New Boyz.

Olivia Newton-John, the iconic "Sandy" from "Grease," ethereal muse in "Xanadu" and fitness temptress in the video for "Physical," will perform at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio on Saturday, Sept. 15.

While her latest project is a new cookbook called "Livwise," Newton-John will be bringing her biggest hits, such as "Physical," "Have You Never Been Mellow" and "I Honestly Love You."

Are you ready for Rocktober? What about classic rock with a flute?

If so, get ready for Ian Anderson, singer of Jethro Tull, who is coming to Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in October.

Jethro Tull is best known for hits such as "Living in the Past," "Aqualung" and somehow beating Metallica at the Grammys for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance back in 1988.

He will play Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. Tickets will be priced at $40, $50, $60 and $70 and will go on sale Saturday, July 14.

Adam Lambert is coming back to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio on Saturday, July 21.

The last time Lambert came to town, it was a glamily reunion. However, there was one very special fan--Isabel Paquette--who was 89 at the time of the Feb. 2010 concert. She and her daughter traveled from Wisconsin for the show.

Paquette's daughter recorded a video of Paquette wishing Lambert a happy birthday, hoping he would someday come across it on YouTube. Instead, it went viral in the Glambert community and soon two tickets were donated for the pair from a fan who had extra and then fellow Lambert fans raised money to fly them to the Coachella Valley.

Then, the folks at Fantasy Springs worked it out so she could meet him and they got this video of it.

I've been ready for the Hootenanny since I saw the lineup when I was out at Stagecoach.

The show is set for July 7 at Live Oak Canyon Ranch and it's really going to be a stomping good punk, psychobilly, rockabilly time. The long-standing O.C. fest has acts like Rancid, the Reverend Horton Heat, Lucero, The Bouncing Souls and so much more, including Inland band Sandbox Bullies.

The Hemet group snagged a spot on the bill and has a show with the Koffin Kats on Saturday, June 9 in Palm Desert.

Saturday's show is at The Hoot Bar and Pizza at 74360 Highway 111. It starts at 9 p.m., has a $5 cover and is open to guests 21 and older.

And in more Hootenanny news, the lovely ladies of all-girl rock choir The Jezebelles are battling for a spot to play the Hootenanny on Tuesday, July 3 at the House of Blues in Anaheim. It's $12.50 in advance and $20 at the show.

He's releasing his diverse new album, "Casey Abrams," later this month and we will be talking to him about it later today.

However, he's also in this hilarious ad for Cafe Aroma's Spring Jazz Festival, which pokes fun at "American Idol" and Abrams' own audition. The jazz festival happens Friday, June 15, through Sunday, June 17.

There's a punk rock weekend on the horizon for Riverside.

The Maxies, Bonsai, Undercover Monsters (pictured), Benedict Arnold, The Kegels and Trash Monsters are on the bill.

The Maxies and Bonsai are both established local punk acts. Undercover Monsters is a new group out of Riverside featuring members of The Maxies and D.E.L.T.A., among others.

Benedict Arnold, from St. Louis, is playing the show. The Kegels are from the Bay Area and the Trash Monsters hail from Orange County.

Reggae-inspired Temecula rockers Devocean will play a hometown show at Reggae in the Vines at Longshadow Ranch Vineyard and Winery on Friday, June 8.

Steel Foundation is also playing the show.

It is the first show in a series of concerts planned by Hey Day productions, which also includes a number of tribute bands at Temecula Valley wineries throughout the summer.

Eve 6 has a solid new album and the SoCal band that invaded radios starting in the late 1990s with the hit "Inside Out" will be at Stinger's in San Bernardino on Saturday, June 9, with the Inland's own Cromwell.
