The summer heat has not deterred the Yucaipa Christian Church youth group from helping their furry friends at YAPS. This youth group has been actively assisting Yucaipa Animal Placement Society with various shelter improvements all summer long.
The group, lead by Shaun Bendixen, comes once a month and helps with tasks from weeding to playing with the animals. No task is too small, too tedious, or too messy for these benevolent folks. The church partnered with YAPS over a year ago occasionally coming up to help with the needs of the animals and facility alike. This summer, however, they have made a point to visit the animals once a month.
"We are very grateful for the support of YCC. They are a hard working group of kids and certainly help us accomplish a lot at the shelter" said Nicole Laffey, YAPS Executive Director.
